a snake, a flying dog and one big happy family….

If any of you know me personally, you know that I’m deathly afraid of snakes.  I never thought I’d encounter a snake on this photographic journey….I did.  This past Sunday evening.  So I’m taking pictures of this wonderful family underneath a gorgeous tree and what’s just hanging out on that tree??? a snake.  I believe I was the only one to take a step back (well, let me be honest…10 steps).  I got a few pics of that little snake, using a zoom lens of course.  Once I got over the shock of a snake on a shoot and once I quit checking my camera bag for a stowaway snake, I was ready to photograph this family….well, sort of…I think I checked my camera bag for that snake about 50 times on the way home…

ok, see Tiffani on the far left with the red shirt on?  the snake is laying out about a foot from her head…scary.

of course we had to pick it up….

zoom lens, my friends, ZOOM LENS…

ok, enough of the snake…let’s talk about this gorgeous tree!?!?!!  I think I might just uproot that thing and bring it home with me…minus the snake.

check out this cuteness…

a little more cuteness…

flying so high that her head is outta the frame….

Rikki, Donald, Codi, Alex, Cody, Tiffani and Wyatt…(whew)  Thank you guys so much for having me out to take these pics! Your land is absolutely gorgeous…even when occupied by a snake  :)
